Thank You to All the Volunteers Who Made East Boston Shines a Success

East Boston, MA (May 10, 2015) – On behalf of East Boston Main Streets, thank you to all the volunteers who made East Boston Shines a success on Saturday, May 9th. Over 110 volunteers met up at 10:00am at Maverick Square to kick of the 13th annual East Boston Shines Community Clean-up Campaign.

A special thank you to the dozens of individual volunteers and to the participating groups: to the members of Unite Here Local 26; to East Boston High School’s ROTC, to the students of the Umana Academy, to the members of the Church of the Well, the residents of the Meridian House, members of the Casa de la Cultura, the officers of BPD Station #7, as well as to Sal Lamattina’s office, the Mayor’s staff, and to Public Works. A special thank you also to Bella’s Market who again provided much needed refreshment and snacks for the volunteers.

Let’s keep East Boston’s streets and sidewalks clean, the tree pits mulched, and the flowers watered!

For more details or questions please call Max Gruner, Executive Director of East Boston Main Streets at 617-561-1044.
