Madaro Statement on Senate Race

"Over the past few weeks I have been touched by those who have encouraged me to pursue Senator Petruccelli's seat. However, after spending time over the holidays to reflect, I have made the decision to remain in my position as East Boston's State Representative. I know that there is much work to be done and that this is a time for me to follow through on commitments I made during my campaign. I have decided to focus my efforts on our community and the people who have placed their trust in me. These are times of rapid change in East Boston and I believe that remaining in my position provides the stability we need to move forward."
