Immigrants 1790-1880 A Study in Acculturation. Author, Oscar Handlin
discusses the difficulties the immigrants during this time faced
when arriving in Boston. Handlin further discusses issues including
the dynamics of prejudice, urban politics, and ideologies of
progress as its relevance today as well as yesterday. "
