Nov. 9 Greenway Connector to be
unveiled
Join Mayor Thomas M. Menino, Sen. Anthony
Petruccelli, Rep. Carlo Basile, Councilor Sal LaMattina, and
representatives from Massport for the unveiling of the East Boston
Greenway Extension on Wed. Nov. 9 at 11 a.m. at the end of the
Bremen Street park adjacent to the site of the new EB library on the
North Service Road Side.
The Extension will connect the Bremen Street Park,
at the site of the new East Boston Library, with Constitution Beach
via Massport property. The extension will create a new green space
on Neptune road and an overlook park at Wood Island Marsh. The
connection will allow pedestrians and bike riders to travel on a
continuous pathway from Piers Park to Constitution Beach. East
Boston will have one of the longest multi-use paths in the City.
