5th Annual Salesian Boys & Girls Club of East Boston Community
Breakfast
The 5th Annual Salesian Boys &
Girls Club of East Boston Community Breakfast sponsored by Suffolk
Downs is scheduled for Thursday, June 20, 2013 at The Topsider Room
located on the third floor of the Suffolk Downs Clubhouse, 525
McClellan Highway, East Boston, MA 02128.
The Registration and Breakfast will
begin promptly at 7:30 a.m. The Program will run from 8:00 a.m. to
9:30 a.m. This year’s event will recognize “Women Leaders in the
Community”.
Representative Carlo Basile, a Salesian Boys & Girls Club alumnus,
will serve as Host and Master of Ceremonies.
Award Presentations will be given in three categories: The Don Bosco
Award - Robert Casaletto, Co-Community Service Award - Buddy Mangini
and Manny Lopes, and the Salesian Boys & Girls Club Youth of the
Year Award – Steven Tauro that is endorsed by the East Boston-Revere
Rotary Club. Auction Items and Raffle prizes will be featured as
well.
Local businesses, politicians, and individual donors have enabled
the Salesian Boys & Girls Club of East Boston to offer an affordable
After School Program at only $20 per year for each child and a
Summer Day Camp, over a nine-week period, at only $150 per week per
child.
The Salesian Boys & Girls Club of East Boston is totally
self-reliant on business and individual donations, several grants
and the Community Breakfast to raise funds and maintain
sustainability.
