Save the Date: Savio Reunion Scheduled for March 10, 2012
The Great Savio Reunion for all St. Dominic Savio
High School and Savio Preparatory High School alumni will be held on
Saturday, March 10, 2012 at the Salesian Boys & Girls Club of East
Boston (former Savio Gym, Savio Hall), 150 Byron Street, East
Boston, MA 02128.
The event time and other details will follow.
A Host committee is currently being formed and a strategic plan is
being developed to ensure as many Alums are reached as possible. An
event Facebook page will be created.
Alumni, former teachers, administrators, and coaches of both schools
are welcome to attend and renew acquaintances, recapture memories,
and rebuild relationships.
The night will include food, beverages, entertainment, raffles, and
more. Clear your calendar so you can:
- Reconnect with former “Savio” classmates and
friends and relive fond memories.
- Meet and network with Savio grads you’ve never
met.
- Take a tour and learn about the Salesian Boys &
Girls Club of East Boston and its programs including the “Savio
Room” specially built for Alumni to hold meetings and other
gatherings.
- Learn about the club’s impact on youth in the
East Boston, Revere and Winthrop communities.
A tour of the Salesian Boys & Girls Club of East
Boston will provide an up close and personal experience that will
feature many improvements at the club.
Alumni will be amazed at the transformation of the
gym building (Savio Hall) now housing the Salesian Boys & Girls Club
of East Boston that includes a Fitness Center, Teen Center, Dance
Studio, Computer Lab, Learning Center, Arts & Crafts Room, Pre-Teen
Room, and several other facility updates.
