 \nThe East Boston Museum and Historical Society invites the public to ma
 rk Halloween by attending the Third Annual Tombstone Tour of the Benning
 ton Street Cemetery on Saturday\, October 26\, 2024\, between 1 and 5 p.
 m. Guided tours will be offered by the Historical Society at 2 and 4 p.m
 .\, and self-guided exploration of the cemetery is open between 1 and 5 
 p.m.\n\nThe event will feature the history of East Boston’s oldest cem
 etery\, the people buried there\, and maybe even a ghost story. The Tomb
 stone Tour is free to the public\, and refreshments will be provided.\n\
 nThe Bennington Street Cemetery was established in 1838 and is listed on
  the National Register of Historic Places. The entrance to the cemetery 
 is located on Bennington Street between Swift Street and Harmony Street.
 \n\nThe East Boston Museum and Historical Society is a local volunteer o
 rganization dedicated to preserving and promoting the rich and diverse h
 istory of East Boston and its people. More information on the organizati
