EAST BOSTON, MA (August 4, 2025) – Today, the Eastie Pride Day Committee announced that the 36th annual Eastie Pride Day celebration will take place on Saturday, August 16th from 2:00pm to 6:00pm at Piers Park. This large-scale community event aims to foster connection, encouraging East Boston residents to engage with local small businesses, restaurants and non-profit organizations. The celebration is family-friendly and open to all. It will include food and refreshments, live entertainment, children’s games, music and a variety of contests. Participating organizations and additional updates on this year’s event can be found on the official website at www.eastieprideday.com/eastie-pride-day-2025.

“We are grateful to be continuing the tradition of Eastie Pride Day for another year, and look forward to creating a space where all members of our community can connect and celebrate East Boston together,” says Liana LaMattina, current Chair of the committee.

This year’s event marks the 36th Annual Eastie Pride Day. First hosted in 1989 by Sal LaMattina, the event originated to increase community pride within the East Boston neighborhood. It has continued to be a day of celebration that community members of all ages can look forward to each year.
