Fabiana Polcaro, East Boston student, lands first place in national power-lifting competition

Fabiana Polcaro, a junior at Boston Latin School and a resident of East Boston, recently ( on March 27, 2026) ย earned 1st place at the 2026 USA Powerlifting High School National Championships held in Killeen, Texas. Competing against top high school athletes from across the country, Fabiana secured the national title in the 56 kg (123 lb) Raw division with a total lift of 290 kg (639 lbs).

  • Squat: 112.5 kg / 117.5 kg /ย 120 kg (failed)
  • Bench: 55 kg / 57.5 kg /ย 60 kg (failed)
  • Deadlift: 115 kg / 122.5 kg / 127.5 kg

Fabiana previously attended East Boston schools, including the Samuel Adams School, the Curtis Guild Elementary school, John D. Oโ€™Bryant Bradley School, and Excel Academy (Orient Heights campus).ย 

In addition to her powerlifting accomplishments, she is an honor-roll student at Boston Latin School.

Her parents noted that “her achievement is a proud moment for her family and an inspiring example of dedication, discipline, and perseverance within the East Boston community.”
