(EAST BOSTON- July 21, 2026) Atlantic Works Gallery is pleased to present “We Find Ourselves in Shape of Home”, on view August 1 through August 29, 2026. This exhibit will showcase East Boston artist, Victoria “thirteenvic” DelValle as a guest artist in August.
“We Find Ourselves in the Shape of Home” by artist Victoria “Thirteenvic” DelValle,is a collection of drawings and paintings exploring the cultural preservation of the Puerto Rican diaspora through architecture and community design; how syncretism is intentionally utilized and why hybridity and merging have shaped material language, structural elements, and public space within Villa Victoria (in Boston’s South End neighborhood), in ways that seem simultaneously familiar, grotesque and liminal.
On display at the Atlantic Works Gallery in East Boston, this exhibition connects to the neighborhood through its exploration of migration, diaspora, cultural preservation, and the way identity becomes embedded within urban space. Like Villa Victoria, East Boston is shaped by immigrant communities whose histories, values, and presence are reflected through the neighborhood’s architecture, public spaces, signage, murals, and everyday cultural traces.
