John Wilkinson’s art is primarily sculptural—sometimes fixed, but more often kinetic. Each piece begins with an overriding theme or concept and proceeds along a frequently non-linear path to a unified and meaningful work. Balancing positive and negative space is a constant, never-ending goal. Success for this artist lies in how well those positive and negative spaces are defined, controlled and in balance.
Technological innovation has changed the routine aspects of our lives as well as how we perceive ourselves and our future. Stephanie Arnett’s artwork is a reflection of this balance between our imaginations and the technology we create.
