On Saturday, February 24, 2024 the Belle Isle Rotary (which combines the Winthrop, Revere and East Boston clubs) and the East Boston Yacht Club along with Parkway Rotary Club out of West Roxbury, held a polar plunge. The groups organized the event to eradicate polio worldwide. This is the second year the groups have sponsored this event at the yacht club. Over 50 persons attended the event.
