East Boston celebrates Lunar New Year

25

The Friends of the Mary Ellen Welch Greenway celebrated Lunar New Year on the Greenway with a special performance by Kwong Kow School.

Children had a blast crafting horses, symbolizing the Chinese zodiac animal for 2026.

Prosperity red envelopes filled with chocolate coins were handed out along with orange slices and Chinese cookies symbolically bringing everyone good luck and health in the New Year!ย

Special thanks to East Boston Public Library.
