Boston, MA – 8/30/24 – The East Boston Community Soup Kitchen (EBCSK) is thrilled to invite the community to its annual fundraising gala, themed “Under the Sea,” on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at the prestigious Hyatt Regency on Boston Harbor. This highly anticipated black-tie event promises an evening of elegance, community, and philanthropy, all in support of EBCSK’s critical mission to combat food insecurity and provide vital services to those in need.
A Night to Remember
The “Under the Sea” Gala will transport guests to an enchanting underwater paradise, complete with stunning oceanic décor, gourmet dining, live entertainment, and an exciting silent auction and raffle. Guests will have the opportunity to bid on exclusive items and experiences, including luxurious vacation packages such as a Romantic Italy Amalfi Coast Getaway, an Under the Tuscan Sun Italy Vacation Package, a Bahia Cabo Hotel Beach Vacation, and more.
In addition to these incredible auction items, the evening will feature heartfelt testimonials and recognition of the unwavering support EBCSK has received from the community. Last year’s gala was honored by the presence of Mayor Michelle Wu and other prominent local officials, and this year’s event is set to be even more spectacular.
Supporting a Critical Cause
Founded by Sandra Nijjar, an immigrant who has dedicated her life to uplifting the community, EBCSK has become an essential resource for residents facing food insecurity, homelessness, and other socio-economic challenges. The funds raised at this year’s gala will enable EBCSK to expand its operations beyond two days a week, allowing the organization to provide not only nutritious meals but also warm shelter during the harsh winter months.
