“Love Your Block” is an initiative by the City of Boston, led by the Office of Civic Organizing, that fosters community engagement and helps make neighborhoods cleaner and more beautiful. Previously known as “Boston Shines,” the initiative encourages residents and community groups to join forces and take extra care of their neighborhoods. Over the years, Love Your Block has grown tremendously. In 2025 alone, we welcomed more than 3,100 volunteers who helped clean and beautify over 150 sites across the city.
