East Boston, MA — The East Boston Artists Group (EBAG) proudly presents the third annual Harboring Creativity: Exhibit and Sale at the ICA Watershed on Saturday, November 8, and Sunday, November 9, 2025, from 11 AM to 4 PM, with a public reception on Saturday, November 8, from 4–6 PM.

This free, family-friendly event marks the close of the ICA Watershed’s season and showcases the creativity of more than 40 local artists who live, work, and create in East Boston. Visitors will discover painting, photography, sculpture, jewelry, installation, and mixed media, all available for purchase.

EBAG transforms the Watershed with rows of innovative display panels, creating a vibrant indoor art walk where neighbors and visitors can connect directly with artists.

Celebrating 25 Years of EBAG

This year’s Harboring Creativity is part of EBAG’s 25th anniversary celebration. Founded in 2000, EBAG has been a pioneering force in East Boston’s cultural growth—organizing exhibitions, open studios, workshops, artist talks, and public art projects that support and showcase the neighborhood’s diverse talents.

The event features a slideshow reflecting on EBAG’s 25-year history and a special screening of “Artists in East Boston” by Susan and Oscar Gongora of Pig Productions, documenting the 2005 East Boston Open Studios—a vivid snapshot of the community’s creative roots and enduring spirit. EBAG continues to be a driving force in East Boston’s vibrant and growing arts scene.
A Community Gathering Through Art

“In a time when supporting our local community and getting to know our neighbors is more important than ever, art becomes a way of connection and healing,” says Kristen Freitas, Interim President of EBAG. “Harboring Creativity is not just an art event—it’s a space where we come together, share stories, and celebrate East Boston’s vibrant creative spirit.”
