The Friends of the Mary Ellen Welch Greenway held a Bocce & Biscotti Night on Friday June 7th. The bocce courts are located on the Greenway in Bremen Street Park, behind the YMCA.
Friend and neighbors took turns, playing in 4 teams. Team Captains Frank Gerardi and Enzo Leone instructed players throughout the night and managed the score board.
The Friends of the Mary Ellen Welch Greenway will host more Bocce nights, in hopes to turn it into a league. For those interested in playing on your own, you may “rent” bocce sets, rake and broom at the YMCA during normal business hours at no cost.
