East Boston Neighborhood Health Center and Maverick Landing lauded for its innovative program

Together, East Boston Neighborhood Health Center and Maverick Landing Community Services, with support from the National Night Out, EASTIE Coalition and the Department of Public Health, have launched a cross-sectoral, trauma-informed approach to address violence and substance misuse in Maverick Landing and surrounding neighborhoods.  This work builds on the experience of other coalitions around the country that have used this effective strategy to foster peaceful, healthy and resilient communities.

On August 2nd, the Maverick Landing Community Group was presented with the Top Crime Watch Group of the Year Award in recognition of outstanding success in crime prevention activities that serve as an inspiration to fight against crime in Boston.
