Sacred Heart to host International Exhibit on Eucharistic Miracles

199

(EAST BOSTON – January 27, 2020) The International Exhibit on Eucharistic Miracles was developed by Blessed Carlo Acutis. The exhibit contains an extensive assortment of photographs and historical descriptions of Eucharistic miracles recognized by the Catholic Church that have taken place throughout the ages all across the world.

The exhibit is made up of 159 panels and allows the viewer to deepen their understanding of Eucharistic miracles, and connect in a special way to the Eucharist during the Year of Eucharist as designated by Cardinal Sean O’Malley of the Archdiocese of Boston.

Carlo Acutis was educated in Milan at a Jesuit high school. He was a kind boy, who supported his friends during difficult times and who stood up to kids who were bullied. Outside of school, he did volunteer work with the homeless and poor. He was know as a “computer geek” who had a deep devotion to the Eucharist. As a result he developed the International Eucharistic Miracles of the World Exhibit, a website that catalogs Eucharistic miracles from around the world. The exhibit that will be at Sacred Heart are the panels from this exhibit. He died of leukemia in 2006 and was beautified in 2020.
