Third Thursday Reception for MOVE by X Bonnie Woods, Reverie by Diane Teubner, and Cubismo Kirk by Renato Viganego
Atlantic Works Gallery is pleased to invite you to the Third Thursday Reception of its September exhibitions MOVE by X Bonnie Woods, Reverie by Diane Teubner, and Cubismo Kirk by Renato Viganego on Thursday, September 17, 2026, from 6:00 to 9:00 pm.
X Bonnie Woods makes paper objects that tell a story about what is happening in her life. She is presently in the middle of a big move, and ideas about home, disruption, and relocation are big. So, the “MOVE” story becomes a map. Folded paper and ink are her materials. She likes to make objects that push these materials in new graphic directions, which include unusual tools and techniques. Whenever possible, she uses rainfall in her process. The rain pictures are a way to connect a person with the sky and the ground, bringing a natural sense of home and adventure. Woods is based between Boston and Berlin, Germany.
In “Reverie,” Diane Teubner shows a series of works on paper in which the paper itself provides her with a new means of exploration, of thinking about color and movement, division of space and the relationship within and between parts in the overall structure of a painting, on a rectangle, a 30”x22” sheet of paper.
Of his exhibition “Cubismo Kirk,” Renato Viganego writes: “I am not afraid of spontaneous drawing. I am not afraid of romanticism. I paint organically, seeking an imprecise drawing, the kind that begins without knowing how it will end. I pulled from the whole of my Latin spirit while looking at the drawings of Raphael and Michelangelo – works that are the least contemporary things in the world, yet they provided the visual resource I used to create Cubismo Kirk. And I discovered:
– That the line is infinite.
– That drawing is a language in itself.
– That drawing is a faithful response to what the mind dictates.
– That nothing could be more faithful.
– That without emotion, there is no reason to create a work of art.
And Picasso was my inspiration.”
The exhibition will run through September 26, 2026.
