Officers maintained surveillance on the vehicle and observed that the vehicle was occupied by a female individual. About two minutes later, officers observed a male individual enter the vehicle carrying a large plastic bag. Officers now observed the vehicle drive towards Saratoga Street and park in an adjacent parking lot.
Officers now observed a male exit a parked van, and proceed towards the passenger side of the suspected vehicle. Officers continued to follow the suspected vehicle, but lost sight of it due to heavy traffic.
At this time, officers requested assistance with conducting a traffic stop of the van. Officers were able to stop the vehicle in the area of Bennington Street and Swift Street. Officers made contact with the operator, and requested that he exit the vehicle. After further investigation, officers recovered nine plastic bags of fentanyl. At about 5:40 PM, officers were on patrol in the area of Bennington Street and Saratoga Street when they observed the suspect motor vehicle again. Officers continued their surveillance of the vehicle and followed the vehicle until it pulled over at Bennington Street and Antrim Street.
After a few minutes, officers observed two unknown individuals’ approach and entered the rear of the motor vehicle. The vehicle then began to travel towards Breed Street before making quick abrupt turns, and letting out the rear passengers. Officers now believed that a street level drug transaction occurred inside the vehicle.
Officers were able to stop the two individuals that exited the vehicle and recovered a plastic bag of fentanyl. The suspect was advised she would be summonsed for Possession of Class A and Possession of Class B.
