Sacred Heart held its annual blessing of the pets after Saturday afternoon Mass.
Blessed St. Francis, lover of all God’s creatures,
we ask your blessing upon these animals.
May they be protected from harm,
cared for with gentleness,
and surrounded by love and compassion.
Give us grateful hearts for the joy they bring
and the wisdom to be faithful stewards of every living thing.
May God bless these animals with health, comfort, and peace,
and bless all who care for them.
Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
