EdVestors to Make “Surprise” LIVE Announcement of Prestigious $100,000 School on the Move Prize to One Boston Public School. Could it be East Boston High School?

Three finalists – all high schools this year – will be recognized for outstanding progress

What: EdVestors, a non-profit school improvement organization, will award one Boston public school the $100,000 18th Annual School on the Move Prize. 

The prize winner is a closely guarded secret until the announcement is made and the award is presented LIVE.

The event will take place from 8:00-10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 8th, at the Westin Copley Place, Boston. 

Boston Public Schools Superintendent Mary Skipper will speak and present awards to the three finalist schools for 2023.

The three finalists – Boston Green Academy (Brighton), East Boston High School (East Boston), and Fenway High School (Mission Hill) – will be honored for their successful efforts at enhancing learning environments where every student can excel. One of these schools will be awarded $100,000, and the other two finalists will each be awarded $10,000 to further school improvement. 

Emmy Award-winning journalist and anchor Rhondella Richardson from WCVB will serve as emcee for the prize ceremony.
