The Don Orione Fathers invited friends and faithful for a Thanksgiving Mass celebrated by his Eminence, Cardinal Sean O’Malley, on Thursday, June 23rd, at 7 PM. at the Madonna Queen of the Universe Shrine, in East Boston.
That evening the local commemorated the 150th anniversary of the birth of St. Luigi Orione, founder of the Congregation of the Sons of the Divine Providence (Don Orione Fathers), the blessing of the Statue of St. Padre Pio recently relocated to the Shrine and the blessing of the newly renovated plaza.
