The Don Orione Fathers invite friends and faithful for a Thanksgiving Mass to be celebrated by his Eminence, Cardinal Sean O’Malley, on Thursday, June 23rd, at 7 PM. At the Madonna Queen of the Universe Shrine, in East Boston.
On this day we will commemorate the 150th anniversary of the birth of St. Luigi Orione, founder of the Congregation of the Sons of the Divine Providence (Don Orione Fathers), the blessing of the Statue of St. Padre Pio recently relocated to the Shrine and the blessing of the newly renovated plaza.
The faithful may be able to gain a Pienary indulgence that was granted by the Holy Father, Pope Francis, on the occasion of the anniversary of St. Luigi Orione. To gain the indulgence the faithful must fulfill the usual conditions.
