The Boston Business Journal reports:
“In the past few years, much of East Boston’s new residential construction has taken advantage of skyline views across the harbor.
Now, a proposed 426-unit project would move that new growth inland to Route 1A a block from Santarpio’s Pizza.
The Bremen & Orleans project, as the development is named, would take the place of surface parking lots spread across a few parcels around either side of the Mary Ellen Welch Greenway just before the path runs underneath the Route 1A viaduct. Apartments would be spread across six buildings, with a small amount of restaurant and commercial space and underground parking.”
