Celebrating 39 years of honoring individuals for their dedicated service to the City of Boston and the Boston community, the Boston Municipal Research Bureau highlighting public employees who go above and beyond their job descriptions.

The Committee evaluates each nomination and selects a few – the everyday heroes of public service to thank them for a job well done.

Each recipient exemplifies the integrity, initiative, leadership and commitment to the public good that Henry L. Shattuck personified as Chairman of the Research Bureau for 17 years.

This year we have the honor of celebrating eight individuals who follow in the Shattuck tradition. These individuals are models of outstanding public service who go above and beyond their daily responsibilities. With the addition of these eight new members, this distinguished academy will now comprise 304 individuals.

By singling out these exemplary citizens, we are all reminded that public service is an honorable undertaking worthy of celebration.
