EdVestors, a non-profit school improvement organization, recently awarded over $460,000 in BPS Arts Expansion to 65 Boston Public Schools (BPS) to support equitable, quality arts education for the 2023-2024 school year.

The grants were announced during the 11th annual BPS Citywide Arts Festival, a three-day celebration of the artistic talents of BPS students which featured music, dance, and theatre performances from schools across the district. Since its inception in 2009, the Boston Arts Expansion initiative has increased the number of BPS students receiving arts education by 17,000 annually while emerging as a national leader in expanding access to arts education.

East Boston recipient schools include Bradley Elementary School, East Boston High School, McKay K-8 School, and Umana Academy.

EdVestors is no stranger to supporting East Boston schools. Last November it announced a three-year, $1.65 million grant to expand music education.
