See the lights around town? Thank Lisa!

Anything relatively fun or cultural going on in East Boston always originates back to Lisa Cappuccio. Lisa is accustomed to thinking big and working hard but what she pulled off last year and continuing to do this year even bigger and better was nothing short of monumental.

Lisa brought the beauty and simplicity of Christmas back to East Boston. Through dogged determination and tireless fundraising Lisa got Christmas lights hung and twinkling in all the major “squares and neighborhoods” of East Boston. Her efforts have resulted in a beauty to behold.

Lisa did so much more than just connect Christmas lights; she connected a community.

It is for this reason that the Belle Isle Rotary unanimously nominated and is so happy to present Lisa Cappuccio at Rotary International’s District 7930 Hero Among Us Banquet with the recognition of the Paul Harris Fellow Award.

Lisa Cappuccio joins an elite group of individuals awarded the Paul Harris Fellow including President Jimmy Carter, Jonas Salk and US astronaut James Lovell.
