Columbus Day will again be celebrated in East Boston again at Tall Ship Park.

The cultural celebration will be held on COLUMBUS DAY, MONDAY, October 14, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 P.M.

Sponsored by the Italian American Alliance and the National Italian American Foundation for the past three years, this celebration of Italian culture and heritage will feature Italian food and pastries, raffles, vendors, and children’s activities and Italian music.  Special musical performances by Steve Savio and Allen Labella, a native of East Boston.

“This Columbus Day Celebration at the Tall Ship Park carries on the tradition of Columbus Day in Boston”, said Jim DeStefano, President of the Italian American Alliance. “It’s notable that ordinary people of Boston, on their own, have brought the Celebration of Columbus back to Boston. Christopher Columbus was significant in American history and is model of courage and persistence to many Americans, particularly Italian Americans.”

The event is open and all are welcome.  The Tall Ship Park is located at 1 East Pier Drive in East Boston, Pier 1.  It is a short walk from the Maverick Square MBTA Station in East Boston or the Ferry stop at Lewis Wharf.  The venue offers a magnificent view of the Boston skyline. Valet parking available for $20.
