EBMHS Board members Steve Gingras and Jeanne Scaduto Belmonte recount the history of Private First Class Aldred Goodearl, who was the first East Boston resident killed in action during World War I. Pvt. Goodearl died in battle in July 1918 and his remains were interred at the Bennington Street Cemetery a few years later.
